This weeks sketch

Finally got this weeks sketch finished!!!!  My mouth has settled down quite a bit now, so feeling a lot better!

Here is sketch 183 over at Nuts About Sketches ........

My eldest Grand-daughter Emily, she is such a beautiful young girl!

I also used this as my DT layout for Out of the Hat ....I was sooo running out of time this month with everything, I combined the October challenge at Out of the Hat which was to use Purple/yellow, felt and torn edges...I used the colours, I used felt for the yellow in the banner and I wet and tore the PP along a scalloped ruler, with the sketch from Nuts about Sketches and I really like how it turned out!

Cheers

It's been a busy month..

September has been and gone and now October is here and nearly over....where does the time go!!!  Someone asked me today if I have finished my Christmas shopping.....WHAT!!!  Haven't started, there's still plenty of time...isn't there??
It's been a busy month..... had all my top teeth out and new plate put straight back in!!  Wow, was I bruised and swollen, looked like i had been 10 rounds with Mick Tyson!!  LOL  Once the swelling in the gums goes down and I have my plate refitted, I think it will be fine, now I just have to put up with all the sore spots from the rubbing!

Plus I have been babysitting my darling little Grand-daughter Montana most days....wow she is such a gorgeous little girl!!  I love her so much! Plus school holidays!!

Anyhow on to the scrapping.... here is what I got done inbetween everything!  Sketch 180 over at Nuts About Sketches was a double layout with lots of photos...loved it!

Another Sketch from Nuts about Sketches

Here is this weeks sketch from Nuts about Sketches , it's a double layout which I LOVE!!  These photos I had printed 5 or 6 years ago and have been sitting in an album all this time and that is what I love about Shawn's sketches, I can always find photos to use.  These are of Cooper, Tom, Abby, Emily and Renae on the bikes in Renae's backyard at Dublin.  Here is the sketch and my pages:-

About Time....

I updated this blog!!!!  I've been missing in action for a few months!  Just busy with everyday life, babysitting my darling Grand-daughter Montana, picking up grandchildren from school, teaching my card and scrapbooking classes etc etc etc.
One of the main reasons I haven't is because this blogger thing was just not working for me...couldn't get my followers to show and couldn't follow other blogger and everytime I tried to add something to my blog it disappeared and I didn't know how to get it back!!!!  Well.....I upgraded my internet explorer and guess what happened...I got my followers back!! Yah.  My computer is a FEW(lots) years old, poor thing but this will have to do for awhile yet.  So now I just need to find the time to keep it up to date.
I have missed uploading a lot of my scrapbooking pages but I might get around to it some day but for now I'm just going to start with what I have been doing lately.

First up, my wonderfull news that I have been accepted for another 6 months on the Nuts about Sketches design team, I love this wonderful blog run my Shawn, she designs the sketches herself and she uses lots of photos...which I LOVE...I have so many photos!!!
Well, I will start with this weeks sketch...
and this is my version of it...
two of my darling Grand-daughter's.  Aren't they gorgeous!!
I have used very old Cherry Arte paper and my Martha Stewart punches.

I will update again VERY soon!!
Have a great day.

Happy 3rd Birthday NAS!

I'm way behind in my posting my layouts but before I get around to doing it I just have to say a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Nuts About Sketches.  Shawn is an incredible sketch artist, I love her work, I think it is because she uses a lot of photos in her sketches and they are so versatile!!  Anyway the birthday celebrations have began and there will be 8 days of sketches that Shawn has created and a wonderful prize is there to be won.
One of the requirements for being considered for the prize is to become a follower of this blog. For each sketch you complete you will get an entry into the drawing for the fabulous kit from The Scrapping Spot.
Here is sketch  No 1, it's a beauty and my take on it!

My Darling grand-daughter Montana, isn't she the CUTEST!!!

So come on join in the fun!

I just can't get......

this silly blogger to work, well it's not really blogger it's ME!! (InThink!)  If someone out there can help me sort this blog out I would truly appreciate it.  Everytime I go to edit it something else changes and I really don't know what I am doing! I would really love to change things around but not game enough!!!!

I am on my laptop at the moment, I'm down at the shack with my grandchildren, I have them for the school holidays, they are down on the beach digging a hole, the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day!  They are waiting for the tide to come in so they can go on the canoes.  It's a bit cold for swimming...but I bet they still go for a swim!!

I have a heap of layouts that I have done for the design teams but just haven't had time to update the blog with them, when I get home I will definately get this blog sorted out!!

Hope everyone has a great easter.

Cheers

Exciting news....

I applied for a DT position for Out of the Hat and found out last week I got in!!  I am so pleased, the challenges takes me out of my comfort zone and makes me think (which is hard for me to do! LOL) and try something new!  I am so used to doing sketches, which I love doing but these are different!  The criteria's for March were:-
1. Use twine
2. Use a number in your title
3. Make your own Journaling Spot (use stamps etc).  This is the LO I did.

For the Journaling Spot I stamped on the background paper then glued twine where the stamped lines where and then stuck my journalling inbetween the lines. Why don't you head on over to Out of the Hat and try out their challenge for March, there are some great prizes to be won!!

My 3 cheeky grandchildren!!  Aren't they the cutest!!

Have a great day.

This is my Layout I did......I printed out a large photo of the sunset and used that as the backgound paper.  We were down at Black Rock and the sun was setting and it turned the water the most amazing colours!!  It was just beautiful!  The kids had so much fun.
Next weeks sketch is awesome, why don't you have a go, I would love to see your work!

Another Layout and some cards...

Just thought I would show the cards I made for my classes last week, I haven't been showing my cards on here but I will from now on.  I am an independent Stampin Up demonstrator and I hold 2 classes a week here at home.

This first one was done using a serviette!  It is gorgeous IRL.... so easy to do.

Just noticed the bow on the right one has fallen off!  These little flowers are so easy to make and look gorgeous, you will be seeing some of these on my scrapbooking pages!!  I love them.

I did this LO for my scrapbooking class last week using Kaisercraft papers.
Me with my dear friend Janet down at Mount Gambier. I wish we lived closer so we could scrap together, I will just have to visit her more often!!

The next layout I did for Out of the Hat, they have great challenges each month, it takes me out of my comfort zone...I have been doing sketches for so long and I thought it was time I did something different.  The 3 challenges for February were to 1.  Misting and Masking  2. use clouds  3. use Tree/s
I"m not real happy with this one, I feel like pulling it apart and doing it again but it's done now and I'm happy I have scrapped another lot of photos.
Cooper sitting on a deck chair at our Xmas get together at Black Point with two hats on and when I went to take his photo he said "HoHoHo Merry Christmas"!  So Cute!

That's all for today....hope you all have a fabulous day!

This weeks sketch..

at Nuts About Sketches is a double and I really enjoyed doing this sketch.  I scrapped the photos of New Year's Eve fireworks that was held at Wallaroo.  I take lots of photos and the grandchildren like to check them out on the computer to see what shapes they can see, the layout is all the things they saw in the photos.

I have used some really old fireworks paper and put kindy glitz all over the fireworks, it looks really good.  I sprayed and splashed glimmer mist all over the cardstock for the background.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day.

This weeks sketch....

...at Nuts about Sketches is a beauty.  These photos are of Emily getting her 13th birthday present from Mum & Dad.  She had a BIG weekend with about 12 or13 girls for a sleep over but Mum & Dad thought they would surprise her with a special gift...a gorgeous silver bracelet.

Thought I had better....

catch up with my postings!!!!  That was my  new years resolution to keep up with my blog, not doing too good am I?!  Been busy busy looking after my beautiful grandchildren during the school holidays and now school has gone back I'm looking after my adorable, lovable, soooo cute Montana, she is just sooo beautiful!!!!
Here are some more layouts I have been doing for Nuts about Sketches, I love Shawn's sketches!!!
First one is based on this sketch
My crazy 6 Grand-children.....they had all been swimming (the water was freezing) and they were all tired and cold....they were sitting on the edge of the decking getting warm so I went down onto the beach and told them to all smile....well all I got was grumpy faces, no one wanted to smile, so I told them to all make a stupid face, I thought that would make them smile but I get these photos instead!!  They are gorgeous!
The next one was based on this sketch....
Darling Cooper on his 3rd birthday.....the saying was so true on this day, Cooper did spit and dribble on the cake as he was blowing out the candles, so we just removed the decorations with Bart on it and all was OK!  The kids enjoyed it anyway!

This is sketch 146....
Renae & Jason's 3 children enjoying the beach at Black Point.  These photos have been sitting in an album for a few years so I'm glad I've got around to scrapping them.
Sketch 147....
I love how this layout turned out!  Montana having her first lollipop and boy did she enjoy it!

Have a look at Nuts about Sketches  and try out one of Shawn's sketches, if you do I would love to see it!
If you have got this far, thanks for looking and I'll be back soon.

Hope you have a great day!
